D’Aoust will read from her new memoir of essays Body of a Dancer, which interweaves dance history with the stories of contemporary dancers to explore the ties that bind us to creative pursuits. Body of a Dancer was a finalist for ForeWord's 2011 Book of the Year Award in Memoir/Autobiography. She has received awards from several arts foundations and holds degrees from both Notre Dame and Columbia University.
