Latinos and the Negro Leagues: A Conversation with Dr. Adrian Burgos

This first event in the Playing with Fire: Race and Sport in American Culture series will be a discussion of the role of race in baseball as well as the impact on the game of Latinos during the Negro Leagues era. The event will be hosted by Notre Dame professor Dr. Richard Pierce and feature Dr. Adrian Burgos, Director of Graduate Studies and Professor of History and African-American Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A reception and book signing will follow.
