Linda Evans

A junior high-school English teacher suggested she take acting classes to overcome extreme shyness. Made TV debut in 1961 on Bachelor Father . Its star, John Forsythe, later played her husband on Dynasty . In 1964, she decided to change her last name from Evanstad to Evans after being cast in The Big Valley . In the '90s, she helped launch Linda Evans Fitness Centers, a chain of women-only gyms in California.
