Ricardo Pau-Llosa, a Cuban-American poet, pioneer art critic of Latin American art in the US and Europe, and author of short fiction, will read at the Hammes Bookstore on March 17, at 7:30pm. His first book, Sorting Metaphors, won the national competition for the first Anhinga Poetry Prize in 1983. Since then he has published five more books of poetry, including Cuba (1993) which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and, most recently, Parable Hunter (2008).
