Chicago Sinfonietta

Saturday, Jan 19 7:30p

America’s most diverse orchestra joins the city’s annual birthday tributes to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Founded 25 years ago by African-American conductor-scholar Paul Freeman and now led by the fierce Maestro Mei-Ann Chen, Chicago Sinfonietta’s mixed program of historically conscious orchestral repertoire includes two consummate musicians, lyric baritone Robert Sims and clarinetist Anthony McGill. Anticipate a rousing climax with full-throated gospel choir.
