Country-rock trio Borderline was formed in Woodstock, NY, in the autumn of 1971 by singer/guitarist Jim Rooney (an alumnus of the Cambridge, MA, folk community alongside the likes of Maria Muldaur and Eric Von Schmidt, as well as a onetime talent coordinator for the Newport Folk Festival) in tandem with singer/guitarist siblings Jon and David Gershen, who previously joined forces in the New York City country-rock combo the Montgomeries....
